History

We invite you to explore the history of the University of Warsaw Herbarium and the people who have helped build, study, and care for its collections over the years.

In the “History” section, two tabs are available in the top menu of the page:

• Herbarium History – a timeline and key stages in the collection’s development, from its early 19th-century origins to the present day.
• Biographies – short profiles of collectors, researchers, and curators whose work contributed to the growth and preservation of the herbarium.
